Sheila Evans, DNP, RN, AOCN is Chief Operating Officer of the NSABP Foundation and Senior Director, NRG Oncology.
Dr. Evans’ career has focused on providing evidenced-based nursing care across the continuum to adult and pediatric oncology patients and their families. Her experience has ranged from NCI-designated cancer centers, community hospitals, and the rural community to a National Health Service (NHS) Cancer Centre in Reading, England. In addition to front-line staff nurse and oncology clinical nurse specialist roles, she worked as a research nurse supporting cooperative group clinical trials and a NIH-funded nursing research initiative; from 2017-2020, she was the Director of Nursing at the Norris Cancer Center at Dartmouth-Hitchcock, an NCI-designated cancer center.
Dr. Evans is a member of the Association of Nurse Leaders and the Oncology Nursing Society. Her published works have appeared in such journals as the Cancer Nursing, Cancer Practice, and Research Practitioner.
